The Grand Lodge of All Beings Retreat

Drawing our inspiration from the original Lodge founded by Chochma, Mother Wisdom, at the dawn of human history (Proverbs 9:1), The Grand Lodge of All Beings provides training and support for Lamed-Vavniks: individuals who place the Golden Rule at the moral center of their lives and devote themselves to “being a blessing to all the families of the earth” (Genesis 12:3).

Members of the Lodge are called Lamed–Vavniks after the two–millennia–old teaching of Rabbi Abaye that if human civilization is to survive there must be at least thirty–six people (Lamed Vav in Hebrew) quietly working to repair the world and make it better for their being born into it.

The mission of The Grand Lodge of All Beings is to train and support Lamed Vavniks.

Based on Rabbi Rami’s book, The Golden Rule & The Games People Play – The Ultimate Strategy for a Meaning-Filled Life, you learn to master the inner and outer work of being a Lamed–Vavnik: helping your shift from narrow to spacious mind, from self to Self, and expressing that shift in deeds, making you a blessing to all the families of the earth.

Each Grand Lodge of All Beings Retreat begins with six pre-recorded twenty-minute audio lessons followed by three two-hour live online Zoom sessions. The audio lessons are designed to prepare you for the retreat, and will be emailed to you, one each day, beginning the Sunday before the retreat begins. Each participant will also receive the Grand Lodge of All Beings Workbook.

We gather as a community of seekers via Zoom for two hours on Friday evening from 5:00PM – 7:00PM Central Time, and two hours on both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM – 12 Noon Central Time. Breaks and breakout sessions are built into the schedule. On-line sessions include text study, chanting, meditation, group discussion, and time for questions and answers

Registration for The Grand Lodge of All Beings Retreat is $95.00. Each participant is expected to have their own copy of The Golden Rule & The Games People Play which can be purchased from your favorite bookseller or through Amazon. Minimum required registration is 10 people.

Upon completion of this retreat, you are invited to continue your training via the Thirty–Six Lamed Vav Lessons email series. Completion of these lessons as well as completion of the Perennial Wisdom and Grand Lodge retreats are required for membership in The Grand Lodge of All Beings.
